Dr. Daniel Rasmussen, or Dr. “Raz” as his patients call him, is a board-certified pediatrician at Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics. He is committed to providing compassionate, quality care to children from infants to age 20. Dr. Raz was voted “Best Pediatrician” by the readers of Celebrate Arkansas in December 2022.
During his Pediatric Residency at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Rasmussen received the Ralph W. Baucum Award for Excellence in Pediatrics, Neonatology Resident of the Year, and Genetics Resident of the Year.
Dr. Raz is originally from South Louisiana where he attended LSU Med School, a fact that most of his patients have chosen to overlook. He and his family decided to reside in Fayetteville in 2011 and though they do not miss the Louisiana heat, they do miss the Cajun food. In his free time, he enjoys biking in all of its forms (road, gravel, and mountain), cooking a variety of foods, spending as much time as he can in Colorado, serving in his church, overconsuming Mexican food, and recently he took up fly fishing. Secret fishing spot tips are always welcome. Dr. Raz and his wife Anna have been married since 2003 and they have three children.
