We’re excited to welcome Nick Hopkins, APRN, to the MANA team. Nick joins the mental health professionals at Northwest Arkansas Psychiatry on June 1st, 2020.
Nick is an advanced practice registered nurse specializing in psychiatric care and mental health. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Arkansas. Nick then went on to complete his Master of Nursing Science: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
He has worked with patients of all ages performing medication management, new patient evaluation, and psychotherapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Nick served as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Arkansas where he supervised and educated students in mental health. In 2018, the Arkansas Center of Nursing selected Nick as one of the top 40 nursing leaders under the age of 40 in Arkansas. Nick also volunteers his knowledge and skills to work with children with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, and special needs.
A fun fact about Nick is that he was once the team equipment manager for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team!
