Michelle Gardner, DNP, APRN, joins MANA Family Medicine in Pinnacle Hills on Monday, December, 9th, 2019. Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas is excited to welcome her to the MANA team!
Michelle has been working as an advanced practice registered nurse and a licensed independent practitioner in Northwest Arkansas since 2016. She worked in the family practice setting ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics at NWA Family Medicine and Obstetrics, and at Community Clinic in Rogers, AR where she provided care for an underserved population at a local non-profit group.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Colorado Christian University. She then went on to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP).
While in Omaha, she worked at Summit Health as a registered nurse providing wellness screenings and patient education. She also worked in a level 1 trauma center at Catholic Health Initiatives where she evaluated lab results, monitored patients, administered fluids and medications, gained experience with a range of critical care patients from all backgrounds.
Michelle traveled to Guatemala and Africa on medical mission trips, and her writings on the effects of the balanced body band program on successful habit formation were published in the Journal of Childhood Obesity.
A Nebraska native, Michelle and her husband live in Rogers and have three young children. When she is not caring for patients, you can find her in the garden, spending time outdoors with her family, scuba diving in Beaver Lake, or cheering on her favorite team.
