We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Whitney Alexander to the MANA family! She has joined Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics and will be seeing children at the Fayetteville and the Pinnacle Hills locations.
Dr. Alexander is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
“Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics is a wonderful clinic with great doctors,” said Dr. Alexander. She added, “they have been providing care to kids in Northwest Arkansas for 39 years, and I am so excited to be a part of this group!”
Dr. Alexander has practiced pediatrics in Northwest Arkansas since 2008 and hopes her patients and their families will follow her to Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics. She is looking forward to her patients being able to take advantage of the pediatric walk-in clinic with extended weekday hours and a Saturday morning clinic.
Dr. Alexander earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Tulsa and her MD at UAMS in Little Rock before completing a pediatric residency at the University of Virginia Children’s Medical Center. She has been in private practice as a pediatrician for more than a decade.
In addition to practicing pediatrics, Dr. Alexander is also a gifted teacher. She currently serves as a pediatrics professor at the University of Arkansas Medical School. Prior to moving to Arkansas, Dr. Alexander taught at the University of Virginia and received a Resident Teaching Award in 1999.
Dr. Whitney Alexander and her husband, David, have three children: Lily age 18, Sam age 15, and Henry age 13. She can often be found supporting her children at their various activities including soccer, track, basketball, and football. Dr. Alexander enjoys gardening and growing herbs and vegetables for her family to eat. The Alexander family looks forward to traveling and visiting the beach again soon.
