Welcome, Dr. Scott Bland

Dr. Scott Bland joined the care team at MANA Urgent Care on College Avenue this month. He will work with Dr. Cody Smith and Physician Assistant Steven Johnson to provide quality, convenient urgent care seven days a week.

MANA has been short staffed at the Urgent Care location since the fall 2021. They are looking forward to having another provider on the team to provide timely, compassionate care to individuals and families in Northwest Arkansas.

“During cold and flu season, we see an increase in demand for urgent care,” said Paula Maxwell, Chief Operations Officer at MANA. She added, “during the pandemic, the demand is even higher for quality urgent care.”

At MANA Urgent Care, Dr. Bland will see patients with fever, sore throats, coughs, sinus infections, rashes, upset stomachs, and minor injuries. Dr. Bland comes to us from North Carolina, where he completed his studies at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and his residency at Moses Cone Family Medicine. Dr. Bland did his undergraduate course work in Florida, and also trained as a flight surgeon with the U.S. Army. Other studies during his service included tropical medicine and medical leadership.

Dr. Bland has a strong record in research, and also worked in construction and hospitality in his early years. His eclectic experiences have led to a broad range of interests, ranging from marksmanship competitions to science fiction and Kung fu movies. He also enjoys obstacle course racing and trail running.

Dr. Bland and his wife have two children. They are looking forward to making their home in Northwest Arkansas.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Bland to MANA!
