Grant Gaines, MD, will start seeing patients at Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics in July 2019.
Dr. Grant Gaines came to Arkansas from his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. “I immediately felt right at home,” he said. “The people are incredible and genuine.”
Dr. Gaines started his education at the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also became an avid Razorback fan. Next, he went to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine for his M.D. degree, and achieved top 20% Academic Performance. He then returned to UAMS to complete his residency in Pediatrics. There he served on the multiple committees of the UAMS Pediatrics Residency Program and conducted extensive research on immunizations and preventable diseases.
At UAMS, Dr. Gaines was motivated by the thought of the families he would be able to help. He looks forward to getting to know his patients and watching them grow up.
Dr. Gaines is certified as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider and for Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He’s a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.
