Welcome, Dr. Battle!

The Breast Center, a MANA Clinic, is pleased to welcome Bennett O’Brien Battle, M.D. Dr. Battle joins the breast imaging specialists at The Breast Center on August 1st, 2020.

Dr. Battle completed his undergraduate degree, graduating cum laude, at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his education at Tulane and completed his master’s degree in Cell & Molecular Biology.

He then went on to earn his M.D. at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock. Dr. Battle completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at UAMS in Little Rock and his fellowship in breast imaging at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, New York.

Dr. Battle received several awards during his studies: Tulane Founders Scholarship, United Parcel Service Casey National Merit Scholarship, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship. He also received the UAMS Radiology Excellence in Medical Student Teaching Award.

Dr. Battle contributed to several research publications during his studies at UAMS. He also writes in his free time. Dr. Battle has a published short story and has written four unpublished novels. He is also an Eagle Scout — the highest attainable rank in the Boy Scouts of America program.

He is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Battle grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Catholic High. He and his wife, Laura, enjoy traveling and spending time at the lake with their rescue dog, Maggie.
