MANA Gives to Sheep Dog Impact Assistance

The Staff Giving Program’s nomination for November is Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, sponsored by MANA Family Medicine Prairie Grove.

With the contributions of staff members through the MANA Staff Giving Program, we donated $2,300 to Sheep Dog Impact Assistance. SDIA was founded in 2010 in Rogers, Arkansas, to help assist veterans, law enforcement, fire and rescue, and EMS personnel.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, over “6,000 veterans die by suicide each year, and twice as many first responders die by suicide than in the line of duty.” The Get Off the Couch program helps people who have experienced injuries, post-traumatic stress, depression, addiction, etc., by providing camaraderie, physical activity, training, and service opportunities.

In 2021, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance served over 2,500 veterans and first responders. Visit their website to learn more about how you can get involved!
