MANA Gives Back to NWA Children’s Shelter

The Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter was nominated by our MANA Family Medicine Har-Ber to receive $2,300 from our MANA Staff Giving Program for the month of December. Kate Lunsford, Grants and Marketing Manager received the check by mail. Lunsford responded, “This gift of $2,300 can actually feed our kids for an entire month! Please let your team know how much we appreciate their support.”

Since 1993, more than 11,000 children have been welcomed into the safe haven and loving care of the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. NWACS currently offers emergency shelter, foster parent training, on-site schooling, and Hope Academy, the first trauma-informed school in Arkansas. Their goal now is to expand those much-needed services to children throughout Northwest Arkansas who will benefit greatly from a trauma-informed educational setting.
