On July 22, 2021, MANA physicians and staff donated $2,300 to the Peace at Home Family Shelter as part of the MANA Giving Program. In addition to the funds, this month’s clinic sponsor, MANA Family Medicine Prairie Grove, donated items the shelter needed.
Peace at Home Family Shelter is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter, services, and support to adults and children fleeing domestic violence in Northwest Arkansas. Their mission is to empower survivors to thrive by nurturing their self-determination and courage; and to promote healthy relationships and compassionate communities through education, outreach, and advocacy. Every day, hundreds of Arkansans reach out to domestic violence shelters like Peace at Home. The harmful effects of domestic violence are far-reaching and found in all corners of our society, regardless of age, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, or nationality.
