Tuesday, November 1, 2016 – SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Jason Wilson, Chief Executive Officer for Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas, was awarded a Fellowship in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) at the Medical Group Management Association Annual Meeting in San Francisco today.
The American College of Medical Practice Executives fellows are an elite group of medical practice executives who are making a difference and establishing best practices in the healthcare industry.
According to the MGMA website, fellow status is the highest level of distinction you can achieve in the medical practice management profession. To receive a fellowship, a medical management professional must apply, be a Certified Medical Practice Executive, and conduct a professional study that is defensible to peers, and submit a manuscript to the ACMPE Professional Papers Committee. Wilson began the fellowship in 2014.
Wilson was a principal in the establishment of MANA, an independent physician and clinic group, in 2000 and served as the Chief Financial Officer for 10 years prior to being appointed to Chief Executive Officer in June 2010. Wilson is a CPA and 1992 graduate of the University of Arkansas. He worked with several medical clinics in Northwest Arkansas as a senior accountant at Baird, Kurtz and Dobson.
