Local Physician Honored for 50 Years of Service

Dr. George McCrary, an acute care physician at MANA’s MediServe Wedington, was recently honored for 50 years of service by the Arkansas Medical Society.

Little Rock, AR – George McCrary, MD of Fayetteville, was recently inducted into the Arkansas Medical Society’s Fifty Year Club, which is comprised of physicians who have practiced medicine for more than fifty years. The society thanked him for his many contributions to the medical field and his dedication to healthcare.

McCrary, or “Dr. Mac” as his patients and staff often call him, provides acute care medicine at MediServe Walk-In Clinic, a MANA clinic, on Wedington Avenue in Fayetteville. He provides sage advice to his patients and has become a favorite with families and college students. Before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 2003, he practiced acute care medicine in Cabot, Arkansas for almost 10 years and family medicine in Jacksonville, Arkansas for 30 years. He cares for patients with sinus infections, sore throats, rashes, and minor injuries seven days a week with 12-hour days, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every other week. McCrary does not plan to slow down anytime soon.
