All babies spit up. Some babies spit up only rarely, and some spit up multiple times after each feeding. Some spit up small amounts and some large amounts. Usually spitting up is more nuisance than problematic.
Treatment

- Frequent burping
- Keeping your baby upright for 30 minutes after feeding
- Feeding smaller volumes more frequently(overfeeding is a common cause of spitting up)
Make an appointment to see your pediatrician if:
- You are concerned your baby may have a food allergy
- Your baby is always fussy after spitting up
- You think your baby is not gaining weight
- Your baby has projectile (shoots several feet across the room) vomiting
