The Breast Center, A MANA Clinic will open a new clinic with 3D Mammograms at 416 Town Center East in Bella Vista in April 2022. This is the fifth location for The Breast Center, a physician-owned specialty practice based in Northwest Arkansas.
The Breast Center is the first breast cancer screening clinic located in the city of Bella Vista. In addition to Bella Vista, The Breast Center has locations in Fayetteville, Bentonville, Harrison, and Springdale.
The goal of opening additional locations for the breast radiologists who own and operate The Breast Center is to make screening mammograms more convenient and accessible to women across Northwest Arkansas.
“Our mission is to provide hope through early detection and personalized care,” said Dr. Britton Lott, a breast imaging physician at The Breast Center. “With early detection, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer is nearly 100%. Early detection means timely annual mammograms to find cancer in its earliest stages.”
3D Mammograms
3D Mammography is more effective and more accurate than traditional mammograms. 3D mammography is proven to find 41% more invasive cancers, earlier, while simultaneously reducing the chance of getting called back for additional tests.
Annual mammograms are recommended for women starting at age 40 who are at average risk of developing breast cancer. If a woman has a personal or family history of cancer, their physician may recommend starting breast cancer screening at an earlier age. Some men with a strong history of certain cancers may also benefit from screening mammograms.
Opening in April
The exact opening date for the Bella Vista clinic to open in April is to be determined. “We are waiting on the 3D mammography machine to arrive and be properly installed and tested,” said Sarah Faitak, Director. “We have started scheduling mammograms at this location starting April 11, but we may open a few days earlier.”
